Free tools. Commission, royalties, US entry budget.
Three free calculators built from the questions artists, labels and managers ask most: what a manager's percentage comes to in dollars, what streams pay once the label and the manager are paid, and what a first year in the US market costs line by line. Each one runs in the browser, keeps nothing you enter, and explains how it is calculated under the tool. General practice, not legal or financial advice.
- Music manager commission calculator
How much do music managers take? Income, commission rate (10 to 25 percent), gross or net, term and sunset clause, to the manager's share and the artist's share per year and the sunset tail.
- Streaming royalty calculator
Streams per platform for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, Deezer and Tidal, times published 2026 per-stream estimates, then the label or distributor split and the manager commission, to the artist's net.
- US market entry budget planner
For an international artist planning a US entry: publicity, specialty and Top 40 radio, touring and showcases, the O-1 or P-1 visa, content and paid media, each with an editable range, a total and a 12-month phasing.
Where the numbers come from
The commission calculator follows the general practice described in what a music manager charges. The streaming calculator uses published 2026 per-stream estimates with a dated source line on the page, and every rate is editable. The budget planner follows the order of work in what a US market entry plan looks like, with planning ranges from current practice. Short answers to forty more questions are on the answers page.
